Video duration: 7 seconds

We visited 5th graders at Sharon Elementary and brought a Zeiss microscope we were generously loaned to see the microrganisms in pond water. We made this time lapse which occurs over 15 seconds. The more you watch it the more you will see organisms moving. The top 2 comments from the students were either Wow! or Ewww! studentsforscience.c om

Video duration: 10 seconds

A single MCF-7 breast cancer cell undergoing cell division (mitosis) over several hours. This is a cancer cell line stably transfected with GFP:tubulin, allowing for visualization of the microtubule spindle (greyscale). Images were acquired with a spinning disc confocal microscope by the Marcus laboratory at the Emory Winship Cancer Institute.
