Thousands of men suffering from prostate cancer are being offered hope thanks to a ground-breaking new drug. Doctors in Britain say Abiraterone represents a 'major step forward' in the treatment of highly aggressive prostate cancer which, before now, has been almost an untreatable disease.

New pill helps shrink prostate tumors: study (Reuters via Yahoo! News)

A once-a-day pill significantly shrank tumors in men with advanced prostate cancer who had not responded to other treatments, researchers said on Tuesday.
