MONDAY, March 12 (HealthDay News) -- Black American men are at a higher risk for developing prostate cancer and dying from their illness, because they often lack access to routine health care, a new study suggests. Obesity Dramatically Increases Death Rate From Prostate Cancer (Science Daily)
Obese men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer have more than two-and-a-half times the risk of dying from the disease as compared to men of normal weight at the time of diagnosis.
